It has been a while since I last documented anything about myself (Facebook not included) but the more I read of Elaine's blog, the more I'm tempted to start again. What's more, I sort of 'borrowed' the idea of starting a 30-day blogging challenge from her and looked up a list online. I came across one and thought, "Yeah, I can do that!".
(This photo of me checking my Facebook at the Changi Airport in SG was taken by my husband while we were waiting to board the plane back to MNL, May 20, 2011)
Top 15 Things You Should Know About Me:
- I'd rather do something crafty than watch a movie, no matter how good it is. I actually have my own craft box. And I buy coloring books, too. The ones made for toddlers so there's huge spaces for coloring in.
- I get VERY self-conscious that my husband, a PHOTOGRAPHER, can't even take a decent photo of me.
- It takes just one song for me to let loose at a karaoke bar.
- I can live with just 6 make-up items: eyelash curler, black eyeliner, black mascara, a tube of cheek tint, and lip gloss/balm. But I actually go in a make-up store and just browse aisles and aisles of lipsticks, lip balms, lip glosses, whatever you call them, and come out feeling euphoric.
- I will never grow out of love for Sweet Valley Kids books. I still buy them at thrift shops and secondhand stores.
- I have a penchant for turtles and elephants.
- My sweet tooth is insatiable.
- I can do my own manicure and pedicure (sans the nail polish. I can't apply the paint on my own nails to save my life).
- I can't cook. I can probably serve you breakfast because breakfast is the simplest meal of the day. Also the MOST important meal of the day. So you'll live. My husband is a good cook, though. So, who's the lucky gal? Me.
- I used to dance ballet. I can even do the splits and all that stuff.
- I was in a Filipino movie, once, when I was in 3rd grade, as an extra (together with my mom, my dad, and one of my sisters). Oh, Coj, my husband, will be so delighted to know I've admitted this in "sort-of" public.
- I LOVE watching horror movies despite knowing the same movies will probably give me nightmares for a whole month. I hate slasher movies, though.
- I used to have weird dreams: carrying huge ships over my shoulder, being chased or chasing zombies or vampires, or trying to keep wild animals out of the house. To this day, the reasons elude me.
- I don't like Photoshop-ping my pictures. See my pictures in all of my unshaven glory.
- I spend an hour taking a bath. On a good day.
